Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.

Neuromuscular Therapy

Neuromuscular therapy consists of alternating levels of concentrated pressure on the areas of muscle spasm. The massage therapy pressure is usually applied with the fingers, knuckles, or elbow. Once applied to a muscle spasm, the pressure should not vary for ten to thirty seconds. Neuromuscular therapy is also called trigger point myotherapy. The American Academy of Pain Management recognizes this form of massage therapy as an effective treatment for back pain caused by soft tissue injury (such as a muscle strain).

Integrated Hot Stone Massage

Integrated Hot Stone Massage is a therapeutic blend of Hot Stones, Swedish, Deep Tissue and Neuromuscular Therapy. Sessions are created to suit the individual’s needs on day of service. So much more than the average spa's Hot Stone Massage!

Pregnancy Massage

Wonderful throughout pregnancy and even after delivery, Pregnancy Massage focuses on areas of specific tension and discomfort as the body changes. These sessions are very beneficial in also calming the mind and the spirit.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy used to treat somatic dysfunction and accompanying pain and restriction of motion. This is accomplished by relaxing contracted muscles, increasing circulation, increasing venous and lymphatic drainage, and stimulating the stretch reflex of muscles and overlying fascia.

Reflexology

A natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears and their referral areas within zone related areas, which correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes, the feet being the primary area of application, reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation and helps promote the natural function of the related areas of the body.

Concentrated TMJ Session

This session focuses specifically on the muscles associated with the face, neck and shoulders. Trigger point work is focused on the TMJ area both externally (facial muscles) and internally (within the mouth using gloves). Pain and tension caused by TMJ disorder can be significantly reduced through this work.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Treatment

This is a treatment for the muscles and joints surrounding the median nerve, from the neck to the hand, alternating passive and active engagement from the client in order to reeducate the muscular system. Nerve decompression is achieved through tissue mobilization, myofascial trigger points assessment and stretches. A valuable aspect of this service is that you learn self-treatment techniques.

Sinus Alleviation

This treatment combines facial pressure points to reduce tension and congestion, an adapted routine of reflexology on the feet to stimulate organs in the muscular and respiratory systems and a massage on the neck and the back (ribcage) with eucalyptus and rosemary essential oils.
